Wagner Park and Roadside Park

Are you looking for a great place to spend an afternoon or evening?  Enjoy Wagner Park!  This well maintained, popular gathering place not only has a playground area, it sports a basketball court, gazebo area, shelter, bathrooms and is the home of the Dutch Mill that was moved to Wagner Park in 1938.

The Dutch Mill is available to groups and citizens to reserve for family gatherings, group parties, picnics, meetings, or other events.  The shelter area serves as a nice place to gather outside, with electricity and grill.

Reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis and a fee of $25 is required. For additional information or to see if a specific date is available, contact the city offices.

Roadside Park, along west highway 36, is a perfect spot to rest while traveling or to meet for a picnic.  While there, check out the map of area landmarks.  Roadside Park also hosts a farmers market as weather allows from spring through fall.  Vault bathrooms were recently installed at Roadside Park. Both parks are maintained by the City of Smith Center.

Wagner park is located just east of Main Street between 2nd and 3rd Streets.  Roadside park is located at the west entrance of Smith Center, along highway 36.
